Could you afford your mortgage if you couldn’t work?

Life’s unpredictable, as the current crisis has demonstrated. While we think the unexpected will never happen to us, unfortunately it sometimes does. If you lost your job, or were unable to work through serious illness do you know how you would pay your mortgage?

Do you really know what your employee benefits are?

Some of us are fortunate to work for companies who provide a package of employee benefits. However, do you know how generous they are and exactly what protection they provide? Do you know what you’re entitled to should you die or become too ill to work?

Here are some questions to consider:

· How much life cover (death in service) is provided by your employer?

· How much sick pay are you entitled too and for how long?

· Are you entitled to any other EXTRA benefits should you become ill? (For example, critical illness cover?)

Is this enough?

These are important question to ask because the benefits provided by your employer may not be enough to protect you and your family. For example, to pay your mortgage if you were seriously ill, or pay off your mortgage should the worst happen.

Eliminate the risk of losing your home

We can help you review your existing benefits package and build on this foundation if you require further cover. This is proven to be a practical and cost-effective solution. While there is no insurance that can prevent the unexpected from happening, money provided by an income protection policy if you were unable to work due to illness, or a critical illness policy if you became seriously ill, are ways that can help eliminate the risk of losing your home.

So, if you have any questions or would like to know more about eliminating the risk of losing your home, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Until then, please stay safe and stay well.
